Printing on the Flashforge Inventor II, Printer 9
  1. Move your STL file from your laptop to the 3D printing laptop:
    • using modeling software, you need to export an stl file
    • open a new Finder window that lists your stl file on your laptop, then open a 2nd new Finder window on your laptop and choose "AirDrop" from the side bar
    • drag your file from the first window onto the appropriate AirDrop icon (3D9) which represent the target AirDrop 3D printing laptops
  2. Open the STL file with Flashprint:
    • on the target AirDrop laptop, click "Accept" and the file will download into the "Downloads" folder
    • drag your airdropped model to the print window of FlashPrint (you may have to launch FlashPrint to do this)
    • Check the connection button in the lower left of the FlashPrint window - it should report 'Inventor II Series'
      • If the Process is not 'Inventor II Series', click on the connection button and choose 'Inventor II Series' after 'Machine Type'
      • if this profile is not available, you cannot proceed to print – SEE MR. KUENSTING FOR A NEW PROFILE INSTALLATION
    • click the 'Start Slicing' button on the top of the FlashPrint window - then click 'Slice' in the next window
        the 'Slice' window should be set to 'PLA', '1.75mm', 'Standard'
    • to see the GCODE slice, click 'Slice Preview' and view a representation of the GCODE
    • if everything looks good on the 'Slice Preview', click 'Local Save' and choose 'Send to Printer'
  3. your model will begin to print as soon as the extruder reaches operating temperatures, which could take up to 5 minutes
  4. Removing your model from the printer:
    1. wait until the bed cools to remove your model
    2. do not aggressively scrape the bed with a scraper or you will damage the surface of the bed
